Mr. Mike Li, Principal (FCPA, FCCA, CTA, MSc (UK) )
Mr. Mike Li is a seasoned accounting and taxation professional with over three decades of experience spanning public practice, education, and professional training. Currently serving as Principal of HKCA, he leads the accountancy training programs for the HKICPA’s QP and the ACCA qualifications, shaping the next generation of accountants in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Professional Journey
A graduate of Hong Kong Polytechnic, Mike began his career at the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department and later honed his expertise in taxation and financial advisory roles at leading Big Four firms. Transitioning to education in 2000, he joined a prominent Asia-based education provider, marking the start of his dedication to nurturing talent. His distinguished career includes a tenure as Director of Student Education & Training at HKICPA (February–October 2006), where he spearheaded strategic initiatives for aspiring accountants.

Mike holds a Master’s degree in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics, and is a Prize Winner in Auditing and Taxation for his exceptional performance in ACCA examinations. His credentials reflect global recognition:

Introduction to New QP
The New QP will comprise 3 progressive levels with 14 modules and a Capstone, i.e. Associate Level (10 modules), Professional Level (4 modules) and Capstone.
It offers alternative pathways and greater flexibility for students with different educational backgrounds.
